Places To Paddle
Rhode Island
Seekonk River- The Seekonk is tidal water with mostly wooded shoreline and many spots to get out when tide is low. A good place to launch from is Bold point park in East Providence. Directions to bold point.
Providence River- The Providence river starting from Bold point park is a nice paddle. I paddled through the Hurricane barrier into downtown Providence up to the Providence place mall. This is where Waterfire takes place on Saturday nights during the summer and into early fall.
Upper Pawtuxet River- This is a nice scenic area with lots of wildlife The water is clear and cold as it flows out of the Scituate reservoir. You can paddle up to the dam, then turn around. The launch area is in Hope, RI.
